01Physiotherapy

Hands on first, then the homework.

The bread and butter of the clinic. We work out what is actually driving the pain, treat it in the room with hands, and send you home with the two or three exercises that hold the change. Backs, necks, shoulders, hips, knees and ankles.

  • We take the history What hurts, when it started, what makes it worse, and what you need to get back to.
  • We watch you move Bending, reaching, squatting, walking. We measure what can be measured so the change is visible later.
  • We treat on the day Soft tissue work, joint mobilising and loaded exercise, then a written plan before you leave.
Length45 min first
Fee range$95 to $110
ReferralNot needed

Who books this: Anyone with a sore back, a stiff neck, a shoulder that will not lift, or an ankle that keeps rolling.

02Chiropractic care

For joints that feel stuck rather than sore.

Assessment and adjustment of the spine and the joints around it, with a straight answer about how many visits it should take. If the problem is muscle rather than joint, our chiropractors will say so and hand you to the physio or the massage therapist.

  • A proper assessment Movement through every level of the spine, plus the neurological checks that rule out anything that needs a doctor.
  • Adjustment or low force A quick, specific adjustment, or slower mobilising if that suits you better. You choose, and you can change your mind.
  • A visit estimate in writing A range, not an open ended plan. No lock in packages and no pre paid blocks of care.
Length30 min first
Fee range$70 to $95
ReferralNot needed

Who books this: People with a locked up mid back, recurring headaches that start in the neck, or ribs that catch when they breathe in.

03Remedial and sports massage

Deep, specific work on tissue that will not let go.

Not a spa massage. This is focused work on the muscle that is actually the problem, at a pressure you agree to, for as long as it takes to change something. Useful the week before an event and useful the week after one.

  • We find the band A short assessment to locate the tissue that is holding, rather than working the whole body evenly.
  • We work to your pressure You set the level and we check in. Deep work should feel useful, never like something to endure.
  • We tell you what to do after Heat, movement, water and how sore you should expect to be for the next day.
Length30, 60 or 90 min
Fee range$75 to $180
ReferralNot needed

Who books this: Desk necks, tight calves, athletes in a training block, and anyone whose shoulders sit up near their ears.

04Clinical Pilates

Strength work, run by a physiotherapist.

Small equipment sessions on reformers and trapeze tables, built around your assessment rather than a class plan. Four people to a session, never more, so the physio can actually watch you. Most back and hip plans end up here.

  • A one to one set up first Your first session is on your own, so the program is written for your body and your history.
  • Then small groups Four people, one physiotherapist, everyone on a different program. You are corrected, not counted.
  • Reviewed every six weeks The program changes as you get stronger, and we retest so you can see it rather than take our word for it.
Length50 min
Fee range$45 to $110
Group sizeFour people

Who books this: People with a back that keeps flaring, runners with hip pain, and anyone told to strengthen without being shown how.

05Dry needling

A fine needle, so a tight muscle can settle down.

A single use needle placed into a tight band of muscle to help it release. It is not acupuncture and there is no traditional medicine behind it, just anatomy. Added onto a physio visit, or booked on its own when you know it helps you.

  • We check it suits you Not for everyone. We ask about blood thinners, pregnancy, needle history and how you felt last time.
  • The needling itself A few minutes per muscle. Most people feel a dull ache or a twitch, which is the response we are after.
  • After the session Expect a day of feeling like you did a hard session. Movement and warmth settle it faster than rest.
Length15 min added
Fee range$30 to $85
NeedlesSingle use

Who books this: Calf and glute knots that keep coming back, jaw and neck tightness, and tennis elbow that has stalled.

06Rehab after surgery

From week one to cleared for sport.

Knees, shoulders and hips, following your surgeon's protocol from the week after the operation through to the day you are signed off. We measure strength properly with a dynamometer instead of guessing, and we send the numbers back to your surgeon.

  • We read the operation notes We follow the protocol your surgeon set, and we contact their rooms if anything in it is unclear.
  • We set the milestones with you Written targets for range, strength and load, with the rough week each one should land.
  • We test before we clear you Strength and hop testing against your other side, so return to sport is a number rather than a feeling.
Length45 min
Fee range$105 to $120
TestingIncluded

Who books this: Anyone recovering from a knee reconstruction, a shoulder repair, a hip or knee replacement, or a repaired tendon.

Private health fund

Work or road injury

Gold and White Card holders are bulk billed with a valid D904 referral from a GP.

08Questions

Before you pick a service.

I do not know which of the three I need

Book the new patient first visit and let us sort it out. That appointment is with a physiotherapist or a chiropractor, and either of them can send you down the hall on the day if the other one suits the problem better. You are not charged twice for that.

Do I need a referral from my GP

No. Physiotherapy, chiropractic care and massage are all first contact, so you can book any of them yourself. A referral only matters when you are claiming through Medicare, DVA or an insurer, and we will tell you if that applies to you.

How many visits will this take

We give you an honest estimate at the end of the first appointment, usually a range rather than a number. If you are not tracking the way we expected by the third visit, we say so and change the plan or refer you on for imaging or a specialist opinion.

Is an adjustment going to hurt

It should not. You will often hear a pop, which is gas moving in the joint and nothing breaking. If you would rather not be adjusted at all, say so and the chiropractor will use slower, low force techniques instead.

Can I bring my scans

Yes, bring them if you have them, on disc or on your phone. Most back and neck pain does not need a scan, and we will tell you plainly when one would change what we do.
